Green River Traditional Collection: solid hardwood flooring is manufactured from the finest supply of North American hardwood species. Combine this with the quality of our milling and the advantages are endless. The flooring contractor will find it easy to install a level floor with tight straight joints that will aide in the ease of sanding and finishing. The result for the owner is a beautiful hardwood floor that will last for generations.

Sheffield Yellow Birch A lively character product that shows the full appearance of this specie. Coloration ranges from rich, dark red heartwood to light red tones to warm yellows and creamy white sapwood. Green River Sheffield Birch will include all of the natural characteristics of this specie, including sound knots, streaks and color variations. An occasional hole of less than 1/2" in diameter may need to be filled. Lengths range from 11" - 7', averaging approximately 2.25'.	Clear Red Birch While there will be some natural color variations, the darker and lighter toned pieces are graded out to maintain as uniform a color as possible. Minimal amounts of sapwood (less than 5%) are allowed, providing a uniform appearance. Lengths range from 11" - 7', averaging approximately 3.00'.	Boston Red Birch Contains natural color variations between lighter toned sapwood and rich, reddish-brown heartwood. Including sound knots, streaks and color variations. An occasional hole of less than 1/2" in diameter may need to be filled. Lengths range from 11" - 7', averaging approximately 2.25'
First Grade Hard Maple An all white sapwood product making a naturally light colored and durable floor. No brown heartwood is allowed. There may be an occasional small mineral streak. Lengths range from 11" - 7', averaging approximately 3.00'.	Select Hard Maple A light overall appearance. It contains both white sapwood and light brown heartwood. No more than 45% of any piece may be light brown. Limited, small character marks are allowed. Lengths range from 11" - 7', and average approximately 2.50'.	Natural Hard Maple A lively character product, Natural maple shows the full appearance of the specie. Coloration ranges from white sapwood to brown heartwood including occasional streaks. Character marks reveal information about the life of a tree. Many of us who work with wood prefer the visually interesting appearance of Natural grades. Overall, this grade will appear more variegated than the Select grade. An occasional hole of less than 1/2" in diameter may need to be filled. Lengths range from 11" - 7', averaging approximately 2.25'.
Natural Hickory includes the full range of colors inherent in the species, Some pieces will be 100% sapwood in varying shades of white; some pieces will be 100% heartwood in varying shades of brown; and some pieces will show white and brown in the same board. In addition, this grade will show an array of sound character marks that may include tight knots, mineral streaks, and sapwood discoloration. Character marks reveal information about the life of a tree. Many of us who work with wood prefer the visually interesting appearance of Natural grades. An occasional hole of less than 1/2" in diameter may need to be filled. Lengths range from 11" - 7', averaging approximately 2.5'.	Clear Cherry Sorted for rich, red heartwood, and contains minimal sapwood (less than 5%). We keep the color as uniform as possible by grading out the lighter and darker toned pieces. Lengths range from 11" - 7', averaging approximately 3.00'.	Common & Better Cherry Contains all of the natural coloration and characteristics of this specie, including sound knots, streaks and color variations. Character marks reveal information about the life of a tree. Many of us who work with wood prefer the visually interesting appearance of Natural grades. An occasional hole of less than 1/2" in diameter may need to be filled. Lengths range from 11" - 7', averaging approximately 2.25'.

Northern Ash Distinctive with its rich, prominent grain and color variations.	Cherry A light, lustrous grain, with a reddish-brown color defines Northern Cherry, making it one of the most desired of the hardwood species. This is truly a lively character product; showing the full appearance of the specie. Lengths range from 11" to 7', averaging approximately 2.25'.	Wellfleet Cherry Graded for clear red heartwood. While there will be some natural color variations, as the darker and lighter toned pieces are graded out to maintain a uniform color, while this product is essentially free from sapwood and imperfections, there may be an occasional small streak or other natural characteristic. Lengths range from 11" to 7', averaging approximately 3.00'.	Barnstable Hickory Includes the full range of colors inherent in the species, some pieces will be 100% sapwood in varying shades of white; some pieces will be 100% heartwood in varying shades of brown; and some pieces will show white and brown in the same board. Falmouth Yellow Birch A lively character product that shows the full appearance of this species. Coloration ranges from rich, dark red heartwood to light red tones to warm yellows and creamy white sapwood. Green River Falmouth Birch will include all of the natural characteristics of this specie, including sound knots, streaks and color variations. Lengths range from 11" to 7',averaging approximately 2.25'.	Vineyard Red Birch Graded for clear red heartwood. While there will be some natural color variations, the darker and lighter toned pieces are graded out to maintain as uniform a color as possible. Nantucket Red Birch Contains natural color variations between lighter toned sapwood and rich, reddish-brown heartwood. Including sound knots, streaks and color variations. This is truly a lively character product; showing the full appearance of the specie. Lengths range from 11" to 7', averaging approximately 2.25'.	Hyannis Maple All white sapwood product making a naturally light colored and durable floor. No brown heartwood is allowed. There may be an occasional small mineral streak. Lengths: range from 11" to 7', averaging approximately 3.00'.	Lewis Maple Light overall appearance. It contains both white sapwood and light brown.heartwood. Approximately 45% of any piece may be light brown. Limited, small character marks and knots up to 1/4" are allowed, averaging approximately 2.50'
Chatham Maple All of the natural coloration and characteristics of this specie, including sound knots, streaks and color variations. This is truly a lively character product; showing the full appearance of the specie. Coloration ranges from white sapwood to brown heartwood offering adistinctive floor like no other. Bamboo Flooring

Why HAWA Bamboo? Finishing: Some companies will buy flooring planks from one factory and have another factory mill them, while yet another applies the finish. There may be varying numbers of finish coats (from 3 to 6 depending on the mill) and varying ingredients from mill run to mill run. A polyurethane-only finish may be used, which will not be as durable as a finish containing aluminum oxide. HAWA finish is an 8-coat aluminum oxide/polyurethane finish from Treffert Coatings.

Formaldehyde level of the adhesive: High formaldehyde levels negate bamboo's environmental advantages. Formaldehyde is a known carcinogen. Higher-formaldehyde adhesives are less expensive than those with lower levels. The formaldehyde emissions of HAWA bamboo products (0.011 ppm) exceeds European and American Indoor Air Quality recommendations.

Availability: Many bamboo flooring companies do not maintain inventory in the U.S. and lead times can be anywhere from 12 - 16 weeks. HAWA stocks supplemental inventory at one main distribution center located in Sayreville, New Jersey - to be certain their distributor network is able to fulfill orders in a timely manner.

Solid Bamboo Flooring: Size: 5/8"x3-3/4"x37-7/8" or 75-3/4" L.The Mao specie of bamboo specified by HAWA is harvested at maturity in 4 to 6 years to ensure hardness, stability, and clarity of color. ASTM D1037 shows an average hardness of 1742 (Janka ball test). Available in Vertical or Horizontal Grains; Natural or Carbonized. Prefinished with micro-bevel edge or unfinished with square edge. Durable, 8-coat Treffert German low-gloss finish system provides the wear protection of aluminum oxide with polyurethane topcoats. Available as semi gloss 50%, and matte 30% May be nailed or glued down on or above grade.

ENGINEERED BAMBOO: Size: 5/8"x5-3/8"x74". 5/32" Bamboo wear-layer. To ensure the consistency in quality and color, the bamboo veneer is shipped from the Hawa mill in China to a production facility in Malaysia where it is layered on top of Forest Stewardship Council-certified birch plywood. The finished engineered flooring is then packaged and shipped back to our manufacturing facility for shipment overseas. Hawa Strand Woven Bamboo: Size: 9/16"x3-5/8"x35-7/8". Strand Woven is the hardest bamboo floor you can find. High density makes it ideal for high traffic areas. Strand Woven bamboo flooring is available in Carbonized and Natural colors.

It is a tongue-and-groove flooring product which can be installed like conventional wood floors.

What is Strand Woven? Strand woven is a type of bamboo flooring that is made when strands of bamboo are cut and boiled then left to dry. When the strands are dry, they are flattened under pressure. They are now ready to be cut into planks, then woven together and treated with low VOC adhesive.

Instead of discarding the loose pieces of bamboo that are left after the process of making standard bamboo planks, this material is recycled immediately by turning them into strand woven bamboo flooring.
